Old Vicarage Boutique Hotel Wedding Photography

I always love the relaxed atmosphere at the Old Vicarage, a lovely little boutique hotel, nestled in the village of Southwell in Nottinghamshire. Personally I reckon it is one of Nottinghamshire’s hidden gems and I am always pleased to return there. So when Megan and Neville contacted me about being their Nottingham wedding photographer, I was excited that they had chosen The Old Vicarage Boutique Hotel as their venue, a mere hop skip and a jump from where I live.

Old Vicarage Wedding Venue

The super friendly and dedicated team at The Old Vicarage are on hand to ensure that weddings run smoothly with every last detail taken care of. They are passionate about tailoring each wedding and making each unique and special. This stunning venue is perfect for those who are looking for a more intimate ceremony with exclusive use of the grounds. The Old Vicarage is set in idyllic gardens. Outdoor ceremonies are held in the impressive purpose built bandstand which provides a beautiful backdrop.

Wedding Preparations

Megan and Neville chose to have their spring wedding inside the venue itself. The rooms are stunning and beautifully decorated with large windows ensuring plenty of natural light for capturing beautiful photographs. Megan got ready in the spacious bridal suite, again tastefully decorated. I got some lovely shots of Megan and her five bridesmaids as they prepared for the ceremony. They were all in good spirits and super chilled which always makes for great pictures.

Wedding Ceremony

The bride was walked down the aisle by her younger brother as Neville waited patiently for her to join him. After the ceremony I got some great confetti shots at the front of the house and then of course portraits of the happy couple on the famous Old Vicarage garden swing - another aspect that makes this venue so unique. After a fabulous meal prepared by the in house chefs, guests enjoyed the warm evening air outdoors before the party got into full swing with plenty of dancing and good vibes!

Award Winning Venue

It was a small and intimate summer wedding for Vicki and Rich - and I really enjoyed it. It’s not hard to see why this fantastic wedding venue is award winning. The Old Vicarage Boutique Hotel in Southwell, Nottinghamshire is already a beautiful place to tie the knot, but the decorations, flowers, and set-up for this wedding were breathtaking and provided the perfect backdrop to a perfect day.

Outside Ceremony

The weather was also perfect for the outside ceremony. As well as having a beautifully decorated interior, the Old Vicarage Hotel has the added bonus of a bandstand in its gardens which made Vicki and Rich’s ceremony a little more special. Vicki was walked down the aisle by her young son and looked stunning, thanks to the wonderfully talented Ali Gunn (make-up) and Chelsey Holland (hair).

Relaxed Wedding Photography

I thoroughly enjoyed the relaxed and chilled vibe of the whole day, as did the guests. They were a good crowd and great fun.

Wedding Photography at the Old Vicarage Boutique Hotel

Welcome to the Davis wedding!

I didn’t have far to travel for Sarah and Andrew’s wedding at the Old Vicarage Boutique Hotel in Southwell. This venue is indeed small but perfectly formed and is ideal for intimate weddings of up to 50-60 guests.

I arrived as Sarah was being pampered by the very talented make -up artist Ali Gunn and hairstylist Helen Sutcliffe, before completing her look with a Morilee wedding dress from La Belle Boutique and Jimmy Choo shoes, stunning!

As the weather was hot and sunny, the ceremony was held in the garden. The bandstand was beautifully decorated with flowers by the Flower Barn. The cheeky young bridesmaids (two of which are Sarah & Andy’s daughters) certainly kept everyone entertained. Not to miss out on the fun was Sarah & Andy’s son who made a very smart page boy just a few days short of his first birthday. It’s safe to say a great time was had by all, and as the party eventually moved in doors, the fun continued into the night.
