Harlaxton Manor Wedding | Zoe & Oliver

Harlaxton Manor Wedding Photographer

Autumnal Wedding Photography At Harlaxton

Zoe and Oliver had their wedding in late September, in a quaint village called Heydour near Grantham. The ceremony took place at St Michaels Church, followed by a reception at the beautiful Harlaxton Manor in Grantham. The weather was delightful, with a warm autumn breeze. As a Nottingham wedding photographer, I had the pleasure of capturing their special day. My aim was to provide natural and relaxed wedding photography that truly reflected the atmosphere of the occasion. Zoe and Oliver wanted their photographs to tell the story of their wedding, and I was excited to bring their vision to life.

Exquisite Wedding Dress

Zoe’s choice of dress, from designer Sassi Holford was stunning. It’s simple and timeless elegance complimented the day perfectly and looked beautiful from every angle.

St Michaels Church created a picturesque backdrop for the ceremony. Its charming architecture, surrounded by trees and flowers, added a touch of tranquility to the day. The couple exchanged vows in a heartfelt ceremony, with friends and family looking on with joy. After the ceremony, we made our way to Harlaxton Manor for the reception. This stunning venue, known for its grandeur and elegance, perfectly complemented the overall ambiance of the wedding. The lush gardens and manicured lawns provided us with beautiful locations for capturing intimate moments between Zoe and Oliver.

Natural & Relaxed Wedding Photography

Throughout the day, I focused on capturing genuine emotions and candid moments. I believe that the best wedding photographs are those that reflect the love, happiness, and authenticity of the couple and their loved ones. I captured laughter, tears of joy, and heartfelt embraces, ensuring that every image evoked the essence of the day. The warm autumn day allowed for beautiful lighting, which added a touch of magic to the photographs. The golden hues of the sun, particularly in the evening as sunset took hold, enhanced the natural beauty of Zoe and Oliver, as well as the surrounding landscapes. It was a pleasure to work with such lovely lighting conditions, and I ensured that it further emphasised the relaxed and romantic atmosphere of the day.

As a photographer specialising in natural and relaxed wedding photography, I loved being a part of Zoe and Oliver's special day. The intimate setting, warm weather, and stunning venues all contributed to creating a truly memorable occasion.

Wedding Photography At Narborough Hall Gardens

It was a pleasure to spend the day shooting Chloe and Chris' wedding back in July. It stands out for me as one of the most elegant and stylish weddings of the year.  I can honestly say this is my favourite wedding venue that I have shot at to date. The venue was one to remember, and it is no surprise that Narborough Hall Gardens located in Kings Lynn, Norfolk is regarded as one of the romantic places to book your wedding. Planning a wedding of this quality and beauty takes vision and effort, the team at Narborough were able to craft a very special day.

Wedding Preparations

I started the day shooting Chris, his best men and family over in the cottages on site as they got ready in the morning with a surprisingly chilled atmosphere before we headed out to the church for the ceremony. The wedding car as classic as the venue. Chloe's father looks rightly proud walking his beautiful daughter down the aisle on this special day.

Drinks and Canapés

Drinks and canapés were served on the lawns back at Narborough Hall Gardens , the food choices and presentation were meticulous, stylish with brilliant attention to detail. Chris is a chef, so it was clear that they
had planned the food to a luxurious standard for their guests. Most couples do want formal family photos to remember everyone who had been with them sharing their love on the day. We used the beautiful gardens, with their classic established summer borders and hedging to frame some of the images.

Portraits At Narborough Hall Gardens

Chris and Chloe's love and ease around each other made getting some great portraits of them simple. We dodged rain showers which actually for me resulted in some really interesting skies and elegant parasol shots. Chloe's dress created a beautiful silhouette and her flowers blended with roses, ferns and eucalyptus were made by Narborough's in house floristry team. They highlighted her style and were well matched with the gentle and simple overall theme

The elegance and tradition of the Hall was extenuated by the simplicity of the marquee. The theme in food and decor was a luxurious blend between Mediterranean generosity and English simplicity, which all shows in the beauty of the portfolio of pictures.

Being a wedding photographer at a venue like Narborough Hall Gardens with so many aspects and locations was a real gem to photograph and made for a very special set of images I hope Chloe and Chris will cherish.

Industrial Wedding Venue In Derby

Earlier in the year I was asked by Danielle and Craig to Photograph their wedding day at the West Mill in Derby. The Mill is a grade 1 listed building and sits on the river Derwent. It was originally built as a cotton spinning mill in 1822 and has since been beautifully restored. It has kept all of its character and charm and is now an exclusive wedding venue and one of my favourite places to photograph a wedding.

Wedding Photographer At The West Mill In Derby

I spent the morning with the girls as they had their hair and make up done before heading over to St Alkmund's Church in nearby Duffield and then onto the wedding reception which was held at the West Mill in Derby.
Family and friends travelled from all over the country to celebrate with Danielle and Craig at the West Mill.
A big thank you to all the staff for their fantastic hospitality and for making the day run so smoothly.
The West Mill is a fantastic exclusive use wedding venue and I hope to return here again very soon.
